What can I expect when I start training?
Training is conducted in a group atmosphere, with the more experienced students lining up towards the front. This has many advantages, one being you can watch all the other students and copy their movements. While this is happening, the instructor or a senior student can give you advise (circumstances allowing) on the different techniques being practiced.
A “starter pack” is usually given to students within the first week to help understand some of the techniques and terminology being used in class.
What do I wear?
You can wear comfortable clothing, such as tracksuit pants and tee shirt. When you feel like you want to buy a “gi” (uniform) you only need to speak to the instructor and he will arrange it for you.
Is there any fun?
Yes, we have a very good social club which is has all students involved in arranging different events.
